The Route at a Glance
Two Ways to Reach 1850
Every family arrives differently. We plan the option that fits your schedule, your group and the conditions of the day.
The Direct Drive
≈625 km · roughly 5h30–6h*
Door to door from your Paris residence, hotel or airport. The A6 Autoroute du Soleil through Burgundy, the A43 through Chambéry and Albertville, then the mountain ascent to Courchevel 1850. Timing is approximate and always subject to weather, traffic and pass conditions — your chauffeur checks the Savoie road status before departure and adapts the pace and stops to your preference.
Fly & Chauffeur
Approx. 1h in the air + mountain ascent
For transatlantic and time-sensitive arrivals: a private flight to Courchevel Altiport — one of the world's most demanding — with a short transfer to your chalet. Or fly into Chambéry or Geneva and let your FFGR chauffeur handle the alpine climb. We coordinate the handover on the tarmac so no minute is lost between the aircraft and the fireside.
The Winter Mountain Corridor
Paris to Courchevel is not simply a long drive — it is the passage from the city to the summit, and the last hour is the one that matters. From Moûtiers, the single ascent climbs to 1850 metres through tight switchbacks that reward a chauffeur who runs this road all season. Our winter vehicles carry snow chains and 4x4 capability, drivers take a road-condition briefing before departure, and the pace is set by your comfort, never by the clock.

FAQ
How long does the drive from Paris to Courchevel take?
By road, Paris to Courchevel 1850 is approximately 625 km. In good conditions the drive takes roughly 5h30 to 6h, but timing is always subject to weather, traffic and pass conditions — the final ascent from Moûtiers is the variable. In peak season and poor weather, allow more. FFGR Paris chauffeurs check the Savoie road status before departure and adapt the pace and stops to your preference. A fly-and-chauffeur option — a private flight to Courchevel Altiport, or into Chambéry or Geneva with a mountain transfer — is roughly an hour in the air plus the ascent.
Can you carry skis, snowboards and ski luggage?
Yes. Our winter vehicles are selected for ski equipment. The Mercedes V-Class (up to 7 passengers) and Sprinter VIP (up to 12) offer generous cargo for skis, boards, boot bags and cases, while the Rolls-Royce Cullinan combines all-wheel drive with luggage space. Tell us your group size and equipment when you enquire and we match the vehicle to the load — no compromise between comfort and kit.
Can I travel with children — are child seats available?
Yes. Child and booster seats are available on request at no complication — simply tell us the ages and number of children when booking. The V-Class and Sprinter VIP are ideal for families travelling with children, ski equipment and luggage together, and our chauffeurs take the mountain switchbacks with the caution a family expects.
Can I travel with a pet?
Yes. FFGR Paris accommodates travel with pets on the Paris–Courchevel route — please tell us the animal and any carrier when you enquire so we can prepare the right vehicle and protection. Advance notice ensures a comfortable journey for every passenger.
What about night arrivals or an overnight break?
Departures are available 24/7, including night arrivals at the resort. For clients who prefer to break the journey, we can coordinate an overnight stop en route — Burgundy or the approach to the Alps — and resume the ascent in daylight. Simply share your preference and we build the itinerary around it.
Can FFGR Paris arrange the return transfer from Courchevel?
Yes. The return transfer from Courchevel to Paris — or onward to Geneva, Lyon, Chambéry or an airport of your choice — is bookable at the same standard. Many clients reserve both legs together at the start of the season. Contact us via WhatsApp for a personalised, all-inclusive quote.
